Following a career in retail, I pursued my interest in holistic health and qualified as a naturopathic nutritionist and more recently as a breath work coach.
I work with children, teens and adults, individuals and groups, fully explaining the science behind the functional breathing exercises that I use and alway tailor the exercises to the needs of the individual. Many clients need to use breath work to down regulate so the focus is often on improving every day breathing. In just one or two sessions they will have the tools to deal with stress, fear and anxiety. Clients feel empowered when they understand the science. I have had particular success helping teens deal with exam stress. In addition to this exercises can be used to cause adaptations in the body improving exercise performance, reducing symptoms of asthma and to lower blood pressure and so much more.
My initial interest in breath work came about after listening to an interview with James Nestor just after the publication of his book “Breath. The new science of a lost art’. I have three children and one of them needed a dental expander very young at the age of 8. I remember being aware that she was a mouth breather during sleep and when I heard James Nestor talking about the connection between nasal breathing and the correct development of the jaw

I understood the relevance. After reading his book I realised there were so many connections between dysfunctional breathing patterns and our health. I went to Sweden to study with Anders Olsen who Nestor worked with for his book and following that I completed both the Buteyko method and Oxygen advantage courses with Patrick McKeown.
Founder, B is for Breath.
“My life has changed since I worked on my breathing with B is for Breath. I don't know why there is not a greater focus on breathing. It's the most vital function in order to stay alive and doing it correctly has given me a new life.”
